A Park in Singapore

Here's a photo of a typical Singapore park. I like taking pictures of just average stuff because I think it will help me remember what life is actually like here. I regret NOT having done this in the other places we've lived (especially in Taipei and Shanghai).

Things to note:
--abundant tropical vegetation (plants grow so easily here, it's really amazing);
--extreme cleanliness, even though this park is in one of the city's most densely populated areas, to the point that it's a little frightening;
--incredibly well manicured plants (maintained by a mini-army of foreign guest laborers, mostly from Bangladesh or India);
--and in the far distance, shophouses painted in the traditional bright colors.
