My Daughter Is My Living Doll

I wrote a while ago about how I didn't care that much about dressing R up, so she just went around in grubby onesies . Later on I realized that people were nicer to her if I dressed her up; also, she began walking and thus could now wear dresses comfortably!! So now she is my baby fashion plate (and not this kind).

Mostly she wears dresses because I think they're cuter.

I have an especial weakness for smocking and bright colors.

I often dress her to express what we're doing (she is wearing this dress because we are going to the Army Museum, and I thought it looked sort of military?).

I still don't do anything with her hair. This is because I don't know how to style my own hair (why it always looks terrible). Changing this state of affairs is on my 101 in 1001 list, actually: I should probably at least learn how as little R's hair grows longer.

  1. love her little curls! Where do you get those adorable dresses? I LOVE dressing P up but since she's in daycare (aka mud, sand, dirt) most of the day, I send her in grubby clothes or just jeans/shorts.

    1. Haha R is really messy too, so she goes through at least 2 dresses/day (sometimes three). I just change the clothes all the time so she keeps looking good, but can imagine daycare wouldn't be too into that.

The last outfit is from Carter's I think; the other three I bought in Singapore (two are from somewhere called Periwinkle: http://www.myperiwinkle.com; it's an international brand but I don't think they have it in the US).

  2. She really does look smart! Thank you are bringing sunshine into Paris for me. I don't think anyone in north western Europe has taken their raincoat off this month I am severely missing cuteness.

ps I have teenage sons and I am STILL capable of losing all sense at the sight of an overpriced sweater they look particularly good in. Perks of the job, I will not say the only perk, no ;)
