Toddler Pretend Games

We are still house-bound, but R is feeling better. Here she is running around with no shirt pretending to be a mommy (one of her favorite games).

She doesn't have the physical skills to put diapers on yet (though she can certainly take them off!), so she will make Baby pretend-cry, then take off the diaper and bring her to me for a fresh one. Also note that she's hung the toy shopping basket off the stroller handles, which is just what I do when we go grocery shopping (I have a special hook for this).

  1. It's incredible how quickly they grow. I probably say this all the time. lol. Ginny just started saying "yes" to things and nodding her head. It happens almost overnight! One day they go to bed not able, and the next day they do it! I'm glad she is doing better. Ginny spent most of yesterday throwing up, thankfully it was not too messy because she was only willing to breastfeed (no chunks! Never thought I could be thankful for such a thing!). She has stopped but we are also staying in doors for a while.

Also - how's the weather there? I'm so clueless as to global seasons. When I lived in Germany the seasons were pretty similar to what I had experienced in the US.

    1. Sorry to hear Ginny is ill! I hope she's better now.

Singapore doesn't really have seasons. It is always hot and rainy here (though in the winter it rains slightly more). It's shorts, sandals and no sweaters year round (temperature is around 80).

    1. I love it when R "works through" her feelings or what happened to her that day by playing. It's so cute (like when she pretended to doctor her baby doll after we went to the hospital), plus I get to see what her perception is/what she's thinking (like how P sees daycare). Totally fascinating.
