That Wife (one of the bloggers I read: she has a great site, you should check it out!) just started a new weight loss challenge. I am going to join and am so excited.
Last time she did one of these I was pregnant and thus couldn't participate. Now I'm more or less back to my pre-baby weight, but since I was somewhat overweight before, I'm still not where I want to be. I really would look/feel better at around 125 pounds. Since I weigh 138 currently, that's almost 15 pounds to lose!
Hopefully this challenge will provide the spur I need to start exercising more regularly and eating more healthfully (no more daily frappuccinos, which are both expensive and so caloric), not to mention the benefits to my vanity and confidence. I'll be fulfilling several of my long-term goals in this way.
And for additional bribery (since it's most unlikely I will win the contests): if I succeed in losing the weight and keeping it off until the end of the challenge (next April 15th), I will take myself on a shopping spree for a new wardrobe!
